Healthcare programme
The health programme aims to ensure primary health care services in the rural and remote areas, with a special emphasis to child and maternal health in under-served districts. It is consistent with national health policies and strategies, and implemented in partnership with the respective Ministries, national and international organisations.
The program aims at ensuring the availability of basic health care services, including mental health, and improving community involvement and participation in health. The behaviour change communication strategy utilises a variety of mediums, including seminars, person-to-person contact, group discussions, disseminating information and knowledge, and emphasising certain positive behaviours and practices.
These institutions provide quality health and social care services to rural communities, especially those not covered by social security. The institutions adopt a holistic approach (as defined by WHO) in accordance with national strategies set by the Ministry of Health and in association with local and international partners.
